The Challenge

ThePaperWorker’s website had low click through rates, high bounce rates, outdated product images and challenging site navigation. Landing pages for products such as Custom Boxes had small subcategory images, making it difficult for customers to navigate the subcategory pages effectively. Notably, the poor quality images negatively affected visitor’s time on site. This was distinctly different from their competitors, whose high resolution images and display format complimented their products.

ThePaperWorker tasked InteractOne with updating and optimizing product images as well as optimizing the site to meet SEO best practices.

The Solution

InteractOne developed a strategy to make critical optimizations that would directly benefit ThePaperWorker’s SEO rankings. Our solution centered around optimizing the site to meet SEO best practices while also updating product images. We implemented new high resolution images to display in larger and clearer formats while showcasing each product’s full diversity and customization capabilities. To address the navigation concerns, we upgraded the overall website layout to enable easier site navigation. This process included updating category pages, such as the Custom Boxes pages with larger subcategory thumbnails and an optimized layout.

    Digital Marketing: World Wide Art

    Structural-Focused SEO

Established in 1996, World Wide Art specializes in limited editions, originals and sculptures created by today’s top animation artists from studios like Disney, Warner Brothers, Hanna-Barbera and Pixar. Built on the robust Magento eCommerce platform, World Wide Art has expanded their reach beyond their Art Gallery and Custom Framing shop in Castro Valley, CA.

    The Challenge

World Wide Art came to InteractOne with a new Magento website that had not been properly migrated or configured. When the site was migrated to Magento, content was not transferred from their old platform. After the migration, they were experiencing issues with SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) as well as redirect issues resulting in a large amount of 404 Not Found errors. This caused a significant decline in organic traffic leading to a significant decline in conversions and revenue as well.

World Wide Art tasked InteractOne with properly configuring the new site to meet SEO best practices and to correct any other issues that had accumulated as a result of the migration.

    Our Solution

InteractOne began by evaluating and diagnosing the aspects of the website that needed immediate attention.  We created an action plan to address site crawlability, search engine indexation, extension conflicts, site performance and success tracking.

    • We updated the index.txt file with the proper rules for better site crawlability. This made the site easier to navigate and more visible on SERPs.
    • To address the 404 errors and search engine indexation issues, we utilized Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and old sitemaps, to gather the lost URLs to create proper 301 redirects.
    • With the the proper 301 redirects in place, onsite user metrics improved including bounce rate, time on site and pages per visit. To further improve site performance, we fixed extension conflicts that were causing broken on-site links.
    • We also updated their Google Analytics account and created eCommerce conversion goals so World Wide Art can track and monitor their success over time.

    The Results

World Wide Art saw improvement across the board with the successful and ongoing implementations of our action plan.

    • Search engine indexation, time on site and reduced site crawl errors in Google Search Console saw improvement as well. 404 errors have improved and are a part of our ongoing solution.
    • With an updated Google Analytics account, World Wide Art is now tracking and monitoring conversion goals and going forward will be able to monitor revenue over time.

    DIGITAL MARKETING Case Study

    Island Inn Sanibel

An Effective Digital Marketing Campaign for a Resort Destination

    Island Inn Sanibel

Established in 1895, Island Inn began as the home of Will and Harriet Matthews who traded the harsher climate of the north for the more temperate, year round weather of Sanibel Island. After years of entertaining friends and family, the Matthews decided to turn their home into a boarding house. From this grew the gracious tradition of the historic Island Inn that now hosts families and friends from around the world.

    The Challenge

Island Inn started to experience an increase in competition from third party booking websites. In addition, increased marketing efforts by competitor hotels decreased Island Inn click through rates, and increased the average cost per click.  Notably, local competition started mimicking Island Inn’s local and digital marketing strategies. Island Inn needed a marketing strategy designed to spotlight their most unique features in order to convert pageviews into bookings.

    Our Solution

InteractOne focused on increasing overall marketing efforts and established budgets specifically to get the highest Return On Investment (ROI) through pay-per-click (PPC). For Island Inn, the goal is to maximize the number of direct bookings at their inn for the assigned PPC budget and related tactics.

We started by  switching email marketing platforms from Constant Contact to the marketing automation platform, SharpSpring. The switch allowed us to create a system to track users coming to the site via PPC as well as their actions on the website. We also remarket to subscribing visitors based on actions performed on-site. This helped to leverage the unique parts of the website, such as  Island Inn’s beach cam feature, which has frequent direct traffic, but few conversions.

When users want to catch a glimpse of the breathtaking views via the beach cam, a follow-up email is triggered through SharpSpring with content geared toward the weather and  offers exclusive rates.

Finally, we utilized Google Tag Manager for better event tracking. Through better event tracking, we are able to focus the marketing budget to higher-value visitors, and report the ROI of each tactic to continually improve our strategy.
